| The video presented is a small documentary that demonstrates the so-called ‘sentinal lymph node’ technique. It is used in the treatment of breast cancer and performed by specialists in Nuclear Medicine and facilitates the work of the surgeons.
By the end of this video the spectator should have a basic idea but obviously of the process as a whole; from the manipulation of the radioactive chemicals to the patient’s operation, and thus understand the objective of this technique: avoiding radical surgery, ie. Total Axillary Clearance, which would then save the patient the serious sequelae caused by this procedure.
