| Two images in a clinical case are shown in this occasion.
Image 1: Simple abdominal X-ray in erect position. Air levels can be seen in the right hypochondrium, which, from their location, correspond to the jejuno-ileum. Moreover, there is an image of high density (metallic) around the centre of the abdomen, which calls attention to an absence of gas.
Image 2: In this section of an abdominal CT, there are also non-specific pockets of air in the intestine. Note there are two areas with altered density difficult to interpret. Below the first there are various images with regular silhouettes and a low coefficient of attenuation. Above the second, there is a zone with an onion ring effect, due to its concentric layers.
