We present a case of posttraumatic stenosis of
the external auditory meatus, with the existence
of adhesions between the tragus and antehelix,
deformity of the auricle at the expense
of the antehelix and an absence of the concha
(Fig. 1). The remainder of the external
auditory canal was of normal caliber.
The
treatment consisted of surgical reconstruction
of the auditory meatus under local anesthesia
in an ambulatory state (Fig. 2).
Restenosis
in this type of patient is frequent therefore
it is convenient to maintain the caliber of
the auditory meatus by means of placement of
various materials until healing is complete (Fig.
3).
