show an adenoma of parathyroid gland placed on
its current location, it is close or incide tyroid
gland (in the present case is lef upper tyroid
lobe).
Right picture shows an ectopic adenoma, far from
its usual location.
SPECT scan of parathyroid glands enables surgeon
to find these lesion easier than earlier. Surgeon
are able to locate the anomalous tissue and which
can be removed with a minimal incision.
