INFORMATION

A 32 years-old woman consulted due to several bouts of abdminal pain for 4 years. She had suffered from intestinal obstruction twice during this time. He underwent fiber optic gastroscopy, colonoscopy and barium examination of small bowel with no results.
Blood analysis resulted normal.
A video endoscopy with wireless capsule of the entire intestine was then performed. A parasite of 3-4 cm long was shown in small bowel. Gross appearance and microbiologic studies revealed an intestinal infestation due to Taenia Saginata, an intestinal Tapeworm. She was treated with 10 mg of Praziquantel in single dose.
